Another year, another award season. The next award season seems underway as all the season's big-hitters are being unveiled. I already see Benedict Cumberbatch (in his first leading role as Alan Turing) as a main best actor contender, but career-best Jake Gyllenhaal and Timothy Spall will surely be sure bets too, as it seems will Michael Keaton and Eddie Redmayne as Stephen Hawking,, so lots of interest there.
Rosamund Pike must be a leading best actress contender, while Mike Leigh should be nominated again for MR TURNER, but will surely have to face off with Christopher Nolan and David Fincher. Still, early days yet.

I should get to see INTERSTELLAR or NIGHTCRAWLER this weekend, have already enjoyed GONE GIRL (as per review), and we are waiting for THE IMITATION GAME. INTO THE WOODS is another one ... and hopefully we will not have to wait too long for LOVE IS STRANGE (its star Alfred Molina has already completed several projects since this one). We can also add Tom Hardy's THE DROP to this season's must sees ....
