Love this one. So many broken characters trying hard to function in the world. Marilyn proves what a gifted dramatic actress she was here. Both she and Monty seem so fragile and raw in this. Maddy

ReplyDeleteYes, it was fascinating seeing Eli Wallach age into that wizened old man (he lived to be 98) - his Guido is a fascinating character here too. It was good to see John Huston and Arthur Miller (doing a book signing) in their later years.
