Today's movie moments, or "Pieces of time"...

"It's the Downbeat club at three in the morning, and you're singing for yourself and for the boys in the band".
The ride home in the car in UN HOMME ET UNE FEMME before Anouk explains the Samba and that terrific "Samba Saravah" number ....Eyeing up the waiter in DARLING, Julie and Roland both score...DONA HERLINDA and her extended family - more on this Mexican classic later. If one lived in New York in the '40s this is the apartment to have - that fabulous skyline view as the daylight changes, and guests like the dizzyingly camp Constance Collier (as here in Hitch's ROPE) - with that chitchat about movies and Mason, Grant and Bergman, Constance can never remember the titles, its always "the something of something something..." PS: where's Farley?
MILLIE becomes a Modern - not long now till Mrs Meers interferes...
Just before pandemonium in the restaurant in VICTOR/VICTORIA and the manager says "but there was no cockroach in YOUR salad"!
