Happy 71st Birthday to Joni Mitchell. Joni is still as popular as ever as she becomes a senior figure in the music establishment. Was it really 42 years ago that I met her, when we were both in our 20s, in Kings Road in Chelsea, in London, in 1972 - as per my other posts here. That was a nice moment, walking along Kings Road chatting to Joni Mitchell ...
There is footage of her from last night, November 6, at the Hammer Museum in L.A. (left) at her official site: www.jonimitchell.com, and a new boxset out later this month, which I will have to get - 53 remastered tracks, its titled "Love Has Many Faces - A Quartet, A Ballet, Waiting to be Danced", again with more Joni artwork. Looks like a must-have, I like all those songs on it so much.
