What a pleasure to see 82 year old Max Von Sydow introducing Martin Scorsese, the recipient of this year's BAFTA Fellowship (why no mention of Marty's NEW YORK NEW YORK though? This musical is probably one of my favourite Scorsese's but its perceived "failure" seems to make it the one that got away); also John Hurt [see recent post on him below] honoured for his "outstanding contribution" to cinema.
